Messing with anatomical design for some of my creatures. One of my dragon species, more specifically - somewhat related to the species my own personal character, Banrai (when she's in her dragon form, of course).
I guess you could call this more of a desert/plains variation of the species, they're found in much more arid environments and are more lanky and thin and their bodies are reminiscent of greyhounds rather than their more heavy-built cousins. They also fly and strike more like a raptor going in for a mouse, with steep dives and quick swoops, etc.
Basically what I changed about them, specifically... was really not much - really with this drawing I was trying to pin down a few things that I'd not really set 'in stone' before about how I wanted their skulls shaped. Mostly to do with the arch/slant of the zygomatic arches (that's the thing that's down to the back of the eye cavity) as well as how pronounced I wanted their saggital crest to be (that's the ridge on the back of the skull that the musculature of the jaw attaches to, generally speaking the 'bigger' it is, the stronger the bite-power is of the animal.)
